Our Brookings, South Dakota campus is home to our corporate office as well as our Live Events, High School Park and Rec and Transportation production factories. These factories produce a wide variety of products to meet our business needs demand.

Our global Human Resources team partners with our leaders to foster long-term mutual prosperity for each individual and for the organization. HR Business Partners engage closely with leaders and are supported by our HR Professional Services, HR Generalists, and HR Operations teams.

What will the work look like for me?

Your responsibilities will focus on accelerating Daktronics’ success through people, by partnering with leaders on people strategies and initiatives, leader development, capacity and capability planning, organizational and team structures, continuous improvement, change enablement while practicing and teaching behavioral based coaching methodologies.

You will partner with leaders in selected factories in Brookings, SD and Redwood Falls, MN, as part of our global Manufacturing HR team which collaborates to foster best practices consistent with Daktronics philosophies.

As a successful HR Business Partner, you will demonstrate positive influence with leadership teams, proactive leader coaching and development, and effective peer collaboration. You will objectively consider multiple perspectives, strategize for near-term and longer-term success, and collaboratively make and implement decisions. You will consistently model leader behaviors.

The competencies most likely to be helpful to and developed in this experience include Strategic Agility, Managing Vision and Purpose, Managerial Courage, Standing Alone, Perspective, Informing, Process Management, and Priority Setting.

Helpful previous experiences include collaborative decision making, managing projects, communicating with individuals and groups, and coaching and mentoring. Especially helpful is experience in supervising or in HR.

Where is this opportunity located?

This position will be required to report to our Brookings, SD campus during the week with occasional travel to our Redwood Falls, MN factory. Daktronics offers flexibility to work from a home office occasionally. Exact working hours are flexible, but this position will be based on working during regular business hours in the Central time zone.

Qualifications

To be considered for HR Business Partner, we require the following:

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Supervisory or Human Resources experience is preferred.

• To effectively exercise discretion, objectivity, and independent judgment, and maintain strict confidentiality.

• The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.

• Fluent in English, written and verbal.

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
