Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: South Carolina RN license or Compact license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Experience in MedSurg and MS/Tele. Ability to care for patients on telemetry monitoring. Experience with insulin administration and rapid response procedures. Description: The position requires a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a daytime shift. The nurse will work four 12-hour shifts weekly, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Patient ratios are typically 1:6-7, with support for 1:6 ratios in normal circumstances. Weekend shifts are required, covering every other weekend. On-call requirements may apply during low census situations. Traveling nurses may need to float within their scope to meet facility needs or transfer between similar units. Experience with the Epic charting system is necessary. The position requires skills in various nursing practices, including but not limited to telemetry and wound care. The patient population consists of adults and geriatric patients with typical medical-surgical diagnoses. Nurses will be supported by interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services. This role may involve emergency response activations during hurricane season, which lasts from June through November. All time-off requests must be submitted before processing applications. The facility has free parking available.
