Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Cottage Grove, MN

Job Description

Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting students as a paraprofessional substitute. Enjoy the flexibility of a per diem schedule, providing your skills on an as-needed basis to help students reach their highest potential. This role offers both general classroom support and opportunities for dedicated 1:1 assistance, allowing you to make a meaningful difference every day you work.

What you’ll need to succeed:

Completion of a Paraprofessional certification test, or
College transcripts showing at least 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits, or
Proof of a college degree
A passion for supporting diverse learners
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliability and a positive, adaptable attitude

What you’ll be doing:

Assisting classroom teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
Providing direct support to students, including those with special needs
Carrying out academic or behavioral plans under the supervision of certified staff
Supervising students in various school settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
Collaborating with educators and staff to reinforce lessons and foster a positive school atmosphere
