Phlebotomist I

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist I to join our healthcare team in Independence, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients accurately and efficiently to support diagnostic testing and patient care. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and other specimen collection procedures following proper protocols and safety standards. Identify patients correctly, verify orders, and ensure proper labeling of specimens to maintain accuracy and integrity. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety guidelines. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during collection. Document collection details and handle specimens appropriately for transport to the laboratory. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and improve workflow efficiency.
