Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Holiday | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical oncology and medical oncology patients on a MedSurg Oncology unit with patient ratios of 5:1 on nights (up to 7:1 in rare circumstances)
• Administer and monitor medications using Alaris pumps and Rovers for medication scanning; document care using Epic EMR
• Float as needed to other areas and care for patients within scope, including floating in 4-hour blocks and prior to staff RNs
• Collaborate with CNAs and unit techs (techs are present on all night shifts) to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Maintain compliance with facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccinations during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• Current BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy (Chemo) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with oncology experience required
• Previous electronic charting experience required; Epic experience strongly preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1 year of experience on a MedSurg Oncology (MSO) unit preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
• Familiarity with Alaris pumps and Rovers for medication scanning
