Staff Nurse/Nursery

Compensation $35.00 - $50.00 (Estimated range based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.) Position Title RN Nursery Shift Nights Status Full-time Position Summary The Nursery RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Essential Functions Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs. Carries out physician orders. Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs. Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Instructs and educates patients and families. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Provides age and culturally appropriate care. Orients and mentors new staff members. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing; Associates in Nursing; Bachelors preferred. Current IL State RN licensure and CPR Certification. Team and customer service skills. Must have a minimum of two years of experience as a Nursery RN in a hospital environment is highly desired. Computer skills – Windows and database systems. Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills. ACLS, NRP, PALS, EKG monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, airway and ventilator management as required per department. Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
