McDade Blvd, Glenolden, PA 19036 Availability: Weekends, with occasional weekday/nights for prep and events Overview: The Fainting Goat PA is looking for a skilled and dependable Banquet Cook to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys crafting delicious food for a variety of events, from weekend banquets to weekday funerals and pop-up gatherings. If you’re passionate about food and thrive in an event-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you! Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present menu items tailored to the needs of each event. Assist with food preparation during the week to ensure timely execution for upcoming parties. Coordinate and manage cooking tasks during events, including timing and food presentation. Ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards in the kitchen. Collaborate with event staff to meet the specific demands of each occasion. Monitor kitchen inventory and communicate supply needs to management. Adapt to last-minute changes in event schedules or menus. Requirements: Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a banquet or catering setting. Availability to work weekends and occasional weekday evenings for prep and events. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively. Familiarity with food safety practices and health standards. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively. Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules for pop-up events. Preferred Qualifications: Culinary certification or training is a plus. Experience in preparing meals for large gatherings, such as weddings, corporate events, or funerals.
