Job Overview A law firm seeks a USPTO-registered Patent Attorney with expertise in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, based in Washington, DC, with remote options available. The role offers an alternative to traditional partnership-track positions with a lower billable hour requirement. Duties Conduct patent prosecution in the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology. Collaborate with clients to develop patent strategies. Draft and review patent applications and related documents. Provide counsel on intellectual property matters. Requirements USPTO registration required. Minimum of three years of patent prosecution experience. Admission or qualification for admission to the state bar of the primary office location. Education Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field preferred. Certifications USPTO registration. Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills.
