Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist Position: MRI Technologist Location: Farmington, CT Setting: Orthopedic Practice / Outpatient Imaging Shift Options: Day Shifts & 2nd Shifts Available (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM) We offer competitive, transparent compensation packages tailored to both travel and local candidates: Travel Package: Up to $2,700 weekly gross Includes a $1,575 non-taxed stipend per week Travel reimbursement up to $700 ($350 each way to/from assignment) Local Package: Up to $2,500 weekly gross (up to $62.50/hr , based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract at a premier Orthopedic practice in Farmington, CT. In this role, you will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging for adult patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting with flexible day and 2nd shift options . Working on a GE MRI platform and utilizing MedInformatix EHR , you will perform routine to specialized scans (scan times ranging from 30 to 60 minutes) with a typical daily volume of 12 to 26 scans. You will work alongside a collaborative, supportive clinical team. Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality MRI diagnostic procedures as ordered by referring physicians, following established clinical protocols and safety standards. Operate GE MRI equipment, Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Picture Archiving & Communication Systems (PACS) proficiently. Administer IV contrast injections skillfully and safely when required by scan protocols. Maintain exceptional clinical quality and productivity in a high-volume outpatient environment. Screen patients for MRI safety, review medical history, and deliver empathetic, patient-centered care. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, clinical staff, and administrative teams. Qualifications & Requirements Required Certifications & Experience Certifications: Active ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required. BLS/CPR: Current American Heart Association BLS certification required. Experience: Minimum 1 to 2+ years of high-field MRI experience. Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in performing intravenous (IV) contrast injections. Patient Population: Comfortable working exclusively with adult patients (no peds). Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in an outpatient imaging center or busy orthopedic practice setting. Familiarity with GE MRI equipment and MedInformatix EHR systems. Flexible Scheduling: Day shift and 2nd shift options available with guaranteed weekends and holidays off. Dress Code: Scrubs required (any color accepted or facility-issued options available).
