The project manager is responsible for leading complex enterprise-wide projects, products and experiences from initiation through implementation and ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and of quality. As a seasoned project management professional, this individual provides leadership in planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, financial oversight, status reporting, and issue resolution. The overall goal of the role is to successfully deliver high-impact, longer-term initiatives while promoting alignment, accountability, and effective collaboration across portfolios and teams.Job Responsibilities:Under limited supervision, lead the overall management of a team and assigned projects, including coordination, communication, status reports, develop schedules and project scope, and manage stakeholders, financials, risks and issues.Manage multiple cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity that span across medical center missions and Medical Center IT (MCIT) functional areasManage all aspects of multiple related projects or products to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectivesDevelop comprehensive project plans, schedules, governance structures, resource plans, and team assignments. Direct and monitor work efforts, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and escalate scope, resource, quality, and timeline concerns through appropriate channels.Manages hybrid methodology projects and products that use an agile approach as well as traditional milestones reporting to leadership Interface with teams to ensure adherence to MCIT project management standards and processes, including documentation requirements (meeting minutes, decisions, risks, issues, action items)Contribute to senior management presentations and meeting preparations Participate and contribute to EPMO process improvement initiativesAdhere to internal Contracts and Purchase order requisition process Lead and motivate effective project teamsMinimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a - BA/BS degree (in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field preferred) with 5 years of progressive project management experience - PMP Certification, product management, or relevant work experience preferred - Thorough understanding of SDLC - Must possess extensive knowledge and proven track record in the use of project management methodologies and tools. This should include knowledge and use of resource management practices and change management techniques. - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work effectively with senior executives - Able to prepare and deliver engaging, well-organized presentations - Ability to work effectively with ambiguity - Ability to lead and motivate team members - Experience with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) - Experience with a Project Management toolQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $101,493.51 - $123,865.66 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
