We are currently looking for a new team member at the Amber Michelle Salon.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)-

• Helping management maintain inventory, ordering supplies, and managing relationships with vendors
• Planning and organizing training sessions for staff, keeping them up-to-date with industry trends
• Fostering a positive and productive work environment, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance and support to staff
• Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and industry standards
• Book and confirm appointments, greet guests, beverages and check in and check out guests
• Up-sell, cross-sell and pre-sell services and products
• Relay with confidence both product and service benefits to guests
• Assist guests in retail area as needed
• Ensure all guest challenges are resolved in a timely manner
• Ensure retail display inventory levels are accurate and shelves are dust-free
• Ability to open, close and work closely with cash handling procedures
• Assist with closing of all retail sales at front desk
• Assist team with miscellaneous duties
• Maintain the salons cleanliness
• Greet anyone entering and leaving the salon with a smile and an upbeat attitude
• Manage all incoming phone calls by answering questions accurately and making appointments
• Checkout clients and pre-book future appointments
• Develop and maintain a consistent and professional relationship with client base in order to ensure client retention
• Have a positive, respectful, and friendly disposition with all clients and co-workers to sustain a pleasant work environment
• Proactively attract and develop new client by maintaining social media/advertising outlets, client referrals, word-of-mouth, etc.
• Maintain TDLR regulations and safety standards of the salon at all times
• Work under pressure, without it showing
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: * Abide by AMS policies and standards as stated in the employee handbook

• Self-motivated
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Minimum 1 year experience working with answering phones in a salon orientated environment
• Demonstrate pleasant and appropriate phone etiquette
• Excellent listening and verbal skills
• Computer literate with good key-boarding skills
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Cosmetology License preferred but not required
• Team player
• Responsible, dependable
• High personal standards and values
• Excellent guest service and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure without letting that pressure show to the guest
• Effective communicator
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Phorest Salon Software Experience is a bonus!
• Reliable Transportation Required
