Overview Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Mauston, Wisconsin. Start date: 08/08/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,047 to $2,132 per week. Guaranteed hours: 32 per week. Shift: 3x12 rotating. Setting includes a short-term acute care environment with potential cross‑training to Med Surg/EICU as needed. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,047 – $2,132 per week Guaranteed hours: 32 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 rotating Start date: 08/08/2026 Work setting: short-term acute care/clinic environment with obstetric care support Responsibilities Provide quality nursing care for maternal and newborn patients; complete initial histories, assess conditions, and develop an individual plan of care Triage patient needs, monitor labor progression, manage induction and cervical ripening, and respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., prolapsed cord, breech delivery, postpartum hemorrhage) Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring; administer medications appropriately; manage hypertensive and diabetic pregnancy concerns Assess newborn status, recognize needs for heightened surveillance or higher level of care, and perform neonatal resuscitation within scope and certification Monitor for neonatal sepsis and adverse events (hypoglycemia, hypothermia, jaundice); provide education to patients and families about newborn care Communicate changes promptly to the care team; participate in cross‑training to Med Surg/EICU when needed; document and adjust plans of care as required Requirements Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse license Graduation from a two‑year nursing program; BSN preferred BLS within 1 month of hire; NRP within 6 months; ALSO within 1 year; STABLE within 1 year; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 1 year Two years of nursing experience with obstetric/lar delivery exposure; ability to cross‑train to Med Surg/EICU as needed Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced obstetric setting Willingness to work a 3x12 rotating shift and travel assignment; strong communication and teamwork skills Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated assignment support throughout the travel period Credentialing and onboarding assistance Travel logistics coordination; on‑site orientation and ongoing guidance Opportunities for contract extension based on staffing needs and performance Nationwide assignment opportunities through Healthforce Healthcare LLC Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
