RN Supervisor (Operations Coordinator) - SNF - Ochsner Post Acute Care Center - Full Time - Nights

Job Overview We’re committed to serving, healing, and educating while advancing care for our patients. Ochsner Health seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to lead and innovate in a unit environment. Responsibilities This role oversees patient plans of care, manages nursing interventions, coordinates and supervises the healthcare team, and facilitates discharge planning. The nurse serves as a communication link between unit leadership, staff, physicians, and other stakeholders, providing resources for patient care assessment, problem resolution, and quality improvement. The position manages human, environmental, and material resources to ensure cost‑effective, efficient care. Requirements Education Required – Registered nurse diploma. Preferred – Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing. Experience Required – 2 years of relevant experience in a fast‑paced, stressful environment. Certifications Required – Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Job Duties Uses the nursing process effectively in the delivery of patient care. Coordinates clinical operations on the unit. Communicates critical issues to appropriate parties. Manages and develops employees. Effectively manages resources. Performs other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands Medium work requires occasional lifting of 20–50 pounds and frequent lifting of 10–25 pounds. The role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, communicable diseases, and hazardous medications or waste. Occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous substances is present as part of patient care duties.
