RN Manager, Family Birth Center

Role Overview The Nurse Manager oversees clinical operations on a designated unit, ensuring a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing and ancillary staff, fostering a high-performing team. Collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize patient care and satisfaction. Develop and implement strategies to meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Conduct daily rounds, monitor patient care activities, and resolve operational issues. Manage staffing needs, including scheduling, overtime, and resource allocation. Promote open communication, build a culture of safety, and support staff development. Ensure throughput efficiency, prevent complications, and maintain a safe environment. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred. Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the practice state. Experience in acute care nursing, leadership, and staff development preferred. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills. Ability to build effective teams and foster a positive care environment. Essential Functions Builds and leads a skilled team, manages staffing, and promotes a culture of safety and patient satisfaction. Conducts rounds, monitors outcomes, and collaborates across disciplines to ensure optimal patient care. Exercises independent judgment in staffing, care coordination, and emergency preparedness.
