Shipping Clerk - 2nd

Shipping Clerk 2nd and 3rd Shift

This role focuses on accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment within a busy distribution facility. You will work both independently and as part of a team to fulfill customer orders, handle shipping and receiving tasks, and move products safely throughout the warehouse. The position also offers the opportunity to learn forklift operation and to transition from a paper-based order system to a computer-based warehouse system.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders accurately in a distribution and warehouse setting.
• Work both with others and independently to fulfill orders on time.
• Lift parts and products and place them into boxes for shipment, ensuring items are secure and properly packaged.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including handling incoming and outgoing orders.
• Utilize a paper-based system to read and process orders, with the ability to adapt as the operation transitions to a computer-based system.
• Pull orders from inventory and stage them for shipment according to established procedures.
• Support general warehouse and distribution tasks, including cycle counting and basic inventory-related activities.
• Climb ladders and move throughout the warehouse to access products and storage locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse standards.
• Learn and apply forklift operation skills in the future, following all safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth order fulfillment and shipping processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterville, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
