Union Hall is looking for a Bar Manager / Assistant General Manager to help lead our busy neighborhood bar, restaurant, and live performance venue.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about service, and can keep their cool when things get slammed. You’ll be on the floor, leading by example both FOH & BOH teams, solving problems as they come up, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for staff & customers alike.
The role includes staff scheduling, inventory and ordering, cash reconciliation, day-to-day operations, and helping shape our food and beverage program. Most importantly, you'll be a leader who supports the staff, takes care of our guests, and helps make Union Hall a great place to work and visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support FOH and BOH teams during service, ensuring smooth communication and consistency across all areas.
- Own beverage programming — recipes, seasonal menus, pricing, and what goes on the board
- Work alongside the GM on operational decisions and guest service standards.
- Contribute to staff development by fostering accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
- Staff scheduling and training
- Oversee supply and inventory management, ordering, and reconciliation.
- Monitor and support party bookings and comedy shows/events in our basement venue bar, ensuring needs are met without disrupting flow of service.
- Report on nightly outcomes and operational needs through End of Day reporting
Schedule
Full-time: Wednesday through Sunday evenings
