About the Role Business Title(s): Senior Technical Garage Bodily Injury Claims Specialist Employment Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Location: In‑Office (Omaha, NE; Richmond, VA; Albany, NY; Chicago, IL; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Rockwood, PA; Springfield, MO) Summary: We are looking for a highly capable Senior Technical Garage Bodily Injury Claims Specialist to join our team and work in a designated office location. The position reports to a manager based in Denver and is focused on adjudicating commercial Garage Bodily Injury claims, providing superb results for our clients. Key Responsibilities Adjudicate Garage Bodily Injury claims at the highest authority limits on assignments reflecting technical complexity. Conduct detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to find solutions to numerous and undefined issues. Report to senior management and underwriters on claims trends and developments. Identify loss drivers and claims trends to reduce claims frequency and severity through data analysis and improved claim management. Analyze claims forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions, and other records to determine whether the loss falls within policy coverage. Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly, including interviewing all involved parties. Manage claims in litigation, keep a filing diary, and ensure timely and complete tasks to move cases toward optimal financial outcomes and resolution. Properly set claim reserves and coordinate expertise resources to assist in case resolution. Prepare reports for file documentation and apply creative solutions that result in the best financial outcome. Negotiate settlements, process mail, prioritize workload, and complete telephone calls and written correspondence with insureds, claimants, and other parties. Demonstrate strong claim management skills and a passion for high‑quality claim handling. Qualifications / Experience Required Minimum of seven years’ experience adjudicating commercial Garage Bodily Injury claims. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience (e.g., two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience). Ability to obtain a license in each jurisdiction requiring a license to adjudicate first‑party claims within 120 days of hire. Excellent communication, evaluation, and strategic skills. Strong claim negotiation skills and a proactive, pragmatic approach. Effective time‑management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to articulate financial value to stakeholders, including senior executives. Experience with detail orientation, discretion, and independent judgment in significance matters. Proficient in MS Office Suite and other business‑related software; experience with Guidewire is strongly preferred. Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English. Desire for continued professional development through continuing education and self‑development opportunities. Salary & Benefits Salary Ranges: Albany and Chicago: $151,000 – $181,250 Los Angeles: $165,000 – $198,000 All employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance and receive a generous benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
