This role assists in supervising department staff and maintaining efficient daily operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport daily operations of the meat department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentationAssist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper stock control and product rotationEnsure all meat products are handled and stored in accordance with company and food safety standardsMonitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable itemsSupport and supervise department staff to ensure adherence to company proceduresAssist with merchandising, signage, and product displaysSupport receiving processes by verifying incoming product for quality and accuracyMaintain department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company policiesQualificationsPrevious experience in meat, grocery, retail, or warehouse operationsStrong understanding of product handling and inventory practicesAbility to identify product quality issues and maintain safety standardsExperience working in a fast-paced, team environmentStrong organizational and communication skillsBasic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar toolsWork Environment / ExpectationsPrimarily warehouse or retail environment with temperature-controlled areas. Requires standing, walking, and handling products for extended periods.
