We pride ourselves on being a lion-hearted partner, designing, building, and flying the most capable and intelligent aerial systems that give our servicemen an unfair advantage wherever they fly.Position SummaryGriffon Aerospace is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Aerospace Engineer to join our engineering team in Madison, Alabama. In this role, you'll support the design, analysis, testing, and manufacturing of aerospace systems and components. You will collaborate with senior engineers to ensure projects meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and development of aircraft, spacecraft, or subsystem components.Conduct engineering analyses using CAD, FEA, or CFD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ).Support structural, thermal, and aerodynamic testing activities.Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design presentations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in systems engineering, manufacturing, and testing.Help ensure compliance with aerospace standards and safety regulations (e.g., FAA, NASA, DoD).Participate in prototype fabrication, integration, and validation testing.Required QualificationsBachelor 's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.0–2 years of professional or internship experience in aerospace or related engineering fields.Familiarity with CAD and simulation software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, ANSYS, MATLAB, etc.).Basic understanding of aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, and materials.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to project needs.Preferred QualificationsInternship or project experience in aircraft or spacecraft design.Exposure to systems engineering principles and model-based design tools.Knowledge of industry standards (AS9100, FAA Part 23/25, MIL-STD).Experience with programming or data analysis (Python, MATLAB, C++).Hands-on experience with composites, propulsion systems, or avionics integration.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Mentorship and training from experienced aerospace professionals.Opportunities for career growth and project ownership.Collaborative and innovative work environment.US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDYes ABILITY TO OBTAIN SECURITY CLEARANCEYes
