Workforce Development Manager

The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Workforce Development Manager. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community.

Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.

Job duties include participating in Workforce Development Task Force groups and related activities mandated by AHCCCS, contributing to the achievement of departmental goals and objectives, managing the day-to-day activities of the Workforce Development Unit, developing, implementing, and maintaining the Divisions' WFDP, serving in a leadership capacity for special projects/initiatives, and departmental activities for provider, education, satisfaction, and communication.

Knowledge in federal and state Medicaid, state managed care operations; contracting, provider network development; direct care worker recruitment, Medicaid waiver; Arizona Management System (AMS) is required. Skills in proficient use of computers, excellent oral and written communication and presentation, organization and time management, self-starter/highly motivated, data interpretation, recruitment, selection, training, development and retention of workforce are also required.

Selective preference includes a Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or health related discipline, three to five years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience, and provider development experience in healthcare settings, managed care, or Medicaid programs.

Pre-employment requirements include successfully passing background and reference checks, completing the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), and meeting driver's license requirements if applicable.
