Mechanical Estimator

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected contractor delivering commercial, industrial, healthcare, and mission-critical projects throughout the Greater Columbus region. We are looking for a well-rounded estimator with strong experience preparing accurate and competitive estimates across mechanical piping, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical projects Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents Complete accurate material and labour takeoffs for piping, plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal scopes Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Develop project budgets, bid proposals, and detailed scope documents Identify scope gaps, project risks, and value-engineering opportunities Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project handover meetings Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers, and field teams Maintain accurate estimating records and project documentation Support the transition of awarded projects from preconstruction to operations Requirements: Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator Strong estimating experience across mechanical piping, plumbing, HVAC, or sheet metal systems Background in commercial, industrial, healthcare, or mission-critical construction Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, installation methods, and labour requirements Experience managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills Knowledge of the Columbus construction market preferred PTO and sick days 401(k) Health insurance Long-term career progression #J-18808-Ljbffr Allegiance Group
