Job Description
Join Our Dynamic MedSurg Team for an Exciting Night Shift!

Job Description:
- Unit: MedSurg 2 North
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights, Every Other Weekend (EOW), First to Float
- Patient-Care: Work with a diverse group of general MedSurg patients, including post-op general and ortho patients
- Bed Capacity: 38 beds; with 8 Tele beds where you will float
- Ratios: 1 nurse to 5 patients
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Charting System: Cerner
- Charge Nurse Role: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will provide break relief
- Nurse Aides Available: Yes, depending on census and staffing
- Floating: Required to float to Tele
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Rotate with core staff
- Scrub Color: Navy; under shirts must be navy, white, or black; optional navy scrub jackets
- Orientation: 1-2 days on the floor with a preceptor
- COVID Requirement: Medical declination need a physician's note; Religious declination requires no documentation
- Cancellation Policy: Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment; 3 shifts for less than 13 weeks
- Flexible Scheduling: Self-scheduling available, with access to make yourself available for extra shifts
