The RN manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families, applying independent judgment, communicating and collaborating with all team members, including ancillary and support services. The role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching, and supervision. Responsibilities Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers Delegate, assess, provide and evaluate patient care Provide and delegate patient care activities to team members Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge Report directly to senior unit management and participate in shared decision‑making activities Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required BSN preferred Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan is required American Heart Association (AHA) BLS is required Facility Description DMC Harper University Hospital, a specialty referral hospital, has distinguished itself in surgery and medicine and is known for its clinical expertise and innovative research.
