Senior Superintendent

As a Superintendent, you will leverage your capacity for innovation and problem‑solving to lead field operations to ensure an exceptional project is delivered to our clients. You will oversee self‑performed and contracted work ensuring compliance with contract documents and the project schedule while also implementing a culture of safety and quality. Responsibilities Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work for a total project, a particular scope, or a portion of a project. Implement a culture of safety and quality among Clark employees and trade contractors, conducting regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with company, contract, and government regulations. Create and manage a plan to sequence work, manage job‑site logistics, and track materials and personnel. Ensure a high quality of work consistent with project and company standards. Takes initiative and personal responsibility to deliver a project on schedule and on budget. Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule and exhibit command of critical milestones with all stakeholders. Communicate the schedule effectively with contractors and project stakeholders. Lead multi‑disciplinary meetings to gain universal buy‑in on the project schedule. Manage, mentor, and develop team members to build a high‑functioning team. Cultivate strong relationships with all project stakeholders. Maintain professionalism while representing the company and team in internal and external meetings and interactions. Possess working knowledge of the owner contract, subcontracts, and vendor agreements. Participate in developing and maintaining staff charts, general conditions, project costs, and demonstrating understanding of key performance indicators (KPI) for the project. Participate in close‑out activities, including punch list and building operations training. Demonstrate advanced problem‑solving capabilities in finding ways to overcome obstacles, issues, and conflicts on the job. Identify long‑term risks and find ways to advance the project plan to neutralize conflicts and issues. Create a project site environment that inspires the team to perform at their best. Basic Qualifications Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience. 10+ years of experience working on large‑scale commercial construction projects. 4+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams. Experience building high‑rise residential, mixed‑use, or higher education projects successfully from start to finish. In‑depth knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel. Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively across multiple audiences and stakeholders. Advanced knowledge of applicable safety and building regulations (e.g., OSHA). Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of construction management software platforms and tools, including Procore, PlanGrid, FieldWire, Bluebeam, and P6. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands‑on role. The position requires frequent on‑site presence on uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. Work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You will need to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Desk time in the office includes moderate periods of sitting for computer work, document review, and meetings. Work Environment You will spend the majority of your time on active construction sites, adapting to all kinds of weather, moderate to loud noise levels, and elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment. You may also work in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels.
