Pay: $20/hr (Contract), $19/hr + shift differential upon hire
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM CST
Type: 6-Month Contract to Hire

About the Role

Responsibilities

- Disassemble and clean incoming mechanical products under direct supervision
- Learn to operate deburring tools and perform air grinding operations
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy of completed work
- Accurately complete production documentation and labor transactions
- Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, and measuring equipment
- Support all EHS, Quality, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Participate in safety activities and continuous improvement processes
- Adhere to company policies, standard work, and supervisor instructions
- Work extended shifts/overtime and some holidays as required by business needs

Required Skills and Experience

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain attention to detail
- Willingness to learn blueprints, shop math, and inspection tools
- Basic computer skills (email, document printing, internet use)
- Ability to work 2nd shift, extended hours, and occasional holidays
- Must be a U.S. person (per federal regulations and background check requirements)

Preferred Skills

- Experience in assembling or manufacturing environments (1-5 years)
- Exposure to deburring operations and inspection tools
- Understanding of geometric tolerances and shop math
- Strong communication abilities
