Production Planner

Position Summary The Production Planning Coordinator is responsible for production scheduling, material readiness, and production reporting to support efficient manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Quality teams to maintain schedule adherence and on-time production in a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing operations experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment. While this is primarily a coordination and planning role, occasional hands‑on support on the production floor may be required. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, labor, equipment, and material availability. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or operational constraints. Coordinate production priorities with Production leadership and communicate schedule updates to internal teams. Maintain production schedules, planning boards, and operational reports. Support adherence to company procedures, safety standards, and cGMP requirements. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and operational reports. Ensure production and quality documentation is completed accurately and on time. Support SOP compliance, audit readiness, and traceability requirements. Track and report operational KPIs including schedule attainment, production output, and on‑time completion. Qualifications Required 4-6+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, scheduling, inventory coordination, or related roles. Manufacturing or production facility experience required. Strong understanding of production scheduling and manufacturing workflows. Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. High school diploma. Preferred Qualifications Experience in food, flavor, ingredient, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments. Knowledge of GMP requirements and manufacturing documentation practices. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and/or Microsoft Excel. Experience with batch manufacturing and inventory management systems. Bachelor’s Degree. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work in both office and production floor environments. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting may be required.
