Current openings include full-time and part-time evening positions , along with true PRN opportunities for candidates seeking a flexible schedule. Available Opportunities Full-Time Evenings: 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. Part-Time Evenings: 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. PRN: As-needed scheduling Evening positions include rotating weekends and holidays What You’ll Do Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, toileting, and other activities of daily living Provide attentive and compassionate support in Assisted Living and Memory Care Encourage resident independence while maintaining safety and dignity Observe and promptly report changes in a resident’s condition Build trusting relationships with residents, families, and team members Help create a welcoming, respectful, and comfortable community What You’ll Need Active Kansas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification is required Assisted Living, Memory Care, or senior living experience is preferred A dependable, patient, and compassionate approach to caregiving Strong communication and teamwork skills Find Meaning in Your Work At Alto Overland Park, caregiving is personal. The Resident Assistant (RA) provides direct resident care and support under the supervision of the Resident Care Director, Supervisor-in-Charge, and/or licensed nursing personnel. This role helps maintain a safe, comfortable, and positive physical and social environment while supporting residents’ daily care needs, dignity, independence, and quality of life. The Resident Assistant assists with activities of daily living, responds to emergency calls, supports dining and daily routines, observes and reports changes in resident condition, maintains required documentation, and communicates professionally with residents, family members, team members, and visitors. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, service-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a senior living environment. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care. Prepare residents for meals, snacks, and activities, and provide support in the dining room, including serving meals and clearing tables. Respond promptly to resident emergency call systems and requests for assistance. Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ condition to the appropriate supervisor or designee. Communicate with residents, family members, team members, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Maintain required resident care documentation in accordance with state regulations and Allegro Living policies and procedures. Assist with resident transportation when required. Follow safety, sanitation, infection control, residents’ rights, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements at all times. Assist with light cleaning, laundry, resident rooms, offices, and common areas as needed to support a safe and orderly environment. Attend meetings and in-service training sessions as required and in accordance with state guidelines. Support community standards by maintaining professional appearance, participating in training, and delivering courteous service that promotes positive resident and family experiences. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Experience in a healthcare, hospitality, senior living, or service environment preferred. CNA certification preferred; Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certificate may be accepted. CNA certification may be required in some states. Must have and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications. Must meet applicable state certification and licensure requirements. General understanding of and concern for the needs of seniors. Experience or aptitude working with Alzheimer’s disease and memory-impaired residents preferred. Ability to work well with others and promote a team-oriented environment. Must be at least 18 years of age; state-specific guidelines may apply. Must pass required background screening, health screening, and drug-free workplace requirements. Must have reliable transportation and, where required, a valid driver’s license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, and insurability by the community’s automobile insurance carrier.
