Better Places.The RoleWe are seeking a Project Operations Analyst to provide hands-on support to project managers and business leaders across day-to-day operational and project delivery activities. This role is a critical resource for PMs navigating project setup, forecasting, and cost management, while also supporting leadership with financial analysis and performance reporting.ResponsibilitiesSupport project managers with project setup, cost tracking, forecasting, estimate at completion (EAC) analysis, and project reviewsMonitor project portfolio performance including margin variance, unbilled, and A/R, and partner with PMs to address issues proactivelyProvide financial and operational analysis to division and market leadership to support decision-making and performance improvementPrepare monthly financial reports, quarterly forecasts, and preliminary project budgets for assigned markets or business unitsAssist with opportunity and pursuit tracking, project execution pricing models, and risk management activitiesServe as a day-to-day resource and advocate for project managers, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and project delivery toolsDevelop job aids, tracking tools, and templates that simplify project delivery workflows and improve PM complianceCollaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely project data in ERP and reporting systemsQualificationsRequired4-7 years of experience in project controls, operations coordination, or PMO support within AEC or professional servicesHands-on experience supporting PMs with project setup, cost management, and forecastingStrong analytical and Excel skills; experience with financial modeling, variance analysis, and performance reportingProficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint, Oracle, or similar ERP platformsWorking knowledge of PMI project management frameworks and lifecycleStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across project teams and business unitsDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environmentPreferredExperience developing cost management tracking tools or operational dashboardsBackground in individual training or coaching project managers on financial performanceFamiliarity with AEC industry project delivery models and market structuresWhy You'll Love StratusA team-oriented environment that values transparency, creativity, and shared successMeaningful career paths, leadership opportunities, and space to specializeLearning & Development – Education and Professional LicensingWe believe flexible, hybrid work supports the balance and well-being our team deservesExcellent Health Care Programs – Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCompany-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term DisabilityVoluntary Life Insurance options for employees, spouses, and dependents401k Retirement Plan with employer matchPaid Holidays & Competitive PTO plans
