These categories are not only pivotal to eBay’s strategic future but are also at the forefront of market innovation and transformation. Our team has a proven track record of success, built on customer obsession, team spirit, and consistently exceeding financial goals.We are looking to hire a Manager of Strategy and Operations, located in Austin, TX who will support eBay’s US Parts & Accessories (P&A) business and play an instrumental role in accelerating growth. The role will be part of the US P&A Strategy & Operations team. Specifically, the role will focus on driving growth in key Parts & Accessories initiatives, while also contributing to regular business review cadences for the Global P&A business. The role will utilize data and business case development to develop strategic insights and lead execution of key initiatives with key partners, while ensuring operational excellence in planning, analytics, reporting, and collaboration across a broad cross-functional team. Our key partners include product, analytics, finance, monetization, account management, and business development, among many others.The role demands a dual mentality: both that of a strategic leader—who has a deep understanding of the dynamics of two-sided marketplaces, can break down tough problems into clear frameworks, operate in ambiguity, and possesses strong data intuition and executive-ready communications—as well as someone who can move quickly and decisively as an embedded operator not afraid to get their hands dirty.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and execute greenfield opportunities across US P&A that require strategic assessmentDrive progress against milestones for key strategic initiativesCreate operational consistency, processes, and alignment across the US P&A business and its partnersEstablish processes and guardrails to ensure operational successBuild and own executive-ready presentations on US P&A strategic initiatives and operational updatesConduct adhoc analysis to answer critical business questions, leveraging SQL and first-/third-party research as neededUnderstand and summarize weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business performanceCollaborate with cross-functional partners; ensure alignment with other eBay verticals, other eBay teams, and global initiativesQualificationsStrong analytical and strategy skills, including structured thinking, synthesizing, distilling key insights from data, conducting research, and creating a compelling storyline/ narrativeHigh degree of ownership and commitment to results, self-motivatedExecutive level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present compelling narratives backed by data and researchDemonstrated ability to project manage a group of peers and lead through influenceStrong ability to synthesize and visualize data and strategic insights and business case financial and operational modeling via PowerPoint and ExcelOrganized problem solver who balances attention to detail with efficiencyAbility to operate in a small, nimble, and impactful teamStrong cross-functional leader who is also recognized as a collaborator and partnerAmbition to grow professionally and willingness to work hard, learn/adapt, and provide feedback both upward and to peer teamsRequirements4.5+ years of related experience, including 2+ years at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or in a strategy & planning role at a major corporationIndustry experience in consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, or consumer techStrong SQL proficiency preferredInterest and/or experience in Motors a plus, but not requiredBA/BS required, MBA or similar graduate degree preferredAdditional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:$135,200 - $180,500Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
