Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and provide emergency nursing care for patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, pediatric, and trauma-related conditions
• Perform rapid patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed
• Assist physicians during trauma resuscitations, emergency procedures, and life-saving interventions
• Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other emergency department equipment
• Recognize and respond promptly to medical emergencies, code situations, and changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, laboratory staff, radiology personnel, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and emergency department quality measures
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients and families during stressful situations

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Current ACLS Certification required
• Current PALS Certification preferred
• TNCC Certification preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
• Experience caring for trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatric, and medical emergency patients
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, multitasking, and emergency response skills
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to delivering exceptional emergency patient care
