Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Critical Care Float Pool RN with ICU expertise to provide exceptional patient care across multiple units. This travel position requires adaptability, clinical competence, and adherence to specialty standards for critically ill patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor ICU patients in neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ED/PACU, ensuring safety and stability.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Complete required competency assessments within 24 hours of submission, maintaining compliance with hospital standards.
• Float seamlessly between units, adapting to different ICU environments and patient needs.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of ICU experience.
• Proven experience in Level I trauma center or similar acute care settings.
• Strong skills in neuro, trauma, or progressive critical care.
• Must have recent travel experience, with flexibility for 48-hour shifts.
• Epic EMR proficiency required.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and floating across multiple ICU units.
