We are in high growth mode and building for the future, which is where you come in!We are looking for Parcel and Grocery Delivery Drivers in Brooklyn who will demonstrate enthusiasm while delivering positive, professional and courteous customer service to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction!Role DetailsPay Rate: $22.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement for business use of your personal vehicle, paid at the IRS standard mileage rate under GoBolt's accountable reimbursement plan. These reimbursements are not taxable wages.Hours/Schedule: Flexible delivery blocks of 8 to 12 hours, available 7 days a week, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.Benefits: Eligible to enroll in our health & dental benefit program for you and your family after 30 days of employment.Location: Delivery routes starting from our Brooklyn delivery station.Vehicle: Your own personal vehicle.Key ResponsibilitiesPick up assigned packages at the delivery station at the start of each block and load them safely into your vehicleDeliver packages along an assigned route using the company's driver app for navigation, scanning and proof of deliveryScan every package at pickup and delivery, and capture a photo, signature or other proof of delivery as requiredFollow customer delivery instructions, including secure drop-off locations, building access codes, doormen, lobby lockers and mailroomsNavigate NYC traffic, parking restrictions, apartment buildings, walk-ups and elevator buildings safely and efficientlyComplete all deliveries within the scheduled block and return any undeliverable packages to the station the same dayCarry packages up and down stairs and over distances on foot between your vehicle and the delivery addressOperate your vehicle safely and follow all traffic laws, parking regulations and company safety policiesKeep your vehicle clean, in good working condition and suitable for carrying packagesProvide exceptional customer service during every customer interactionRespond to customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner and escalate issues to dispatch or support when neededReport delivery exceptions, damaged packages, safety incidents or access issues promptly through the appWhat We Are Looking ForMust be 21 years of age or olderValid U.S. driver's license (New York State Class D or equivalent) with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a background check and motor vehicle record checkAccess to a smartphone (iOS or Android) with your own data plan to be able to run the GoBolt delivery appComfortable continuously lifting and carrying packages up to 50lbsAble to walk, bend, climb stairs and be on your feet for the length of a delivery blockComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsFamiliarity with NYC streets, neighborhoods and building types is a strong assetPrevious parcel, courier or last-mile delivery experience is an asset but not requiredBasic understanding of technology and proficient on a smartphone or tabletFluency in speaking, reading and writing in EnglishPunctual and reliable, able to show up on time for every scheduled blockGreat attention to detail, able to make sure the right package reaches the right addressHighly customer focused, with a passion for exceeding expectationsExcellent communication skills and a courteous, professional demeanor, even under pressureVehicle RequirementsA reliable, registered and insured vehicle: a 4-door sedan, SUV, minivan, hatchback or cargo van (no 2-door vehicles, motorcycles or scooters)Proof of valid auto insurance that meets New York State requirements, in your name or with you listed as a driverCurrent vehicle registration and inspectionEnough cargo space to carry a full route of packages safelyWhy Join Us?We offer a workplace where respect, diversity, and inclusion are the cornerstones of our culture.
