About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in labor and post-partum care License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS AWHONN Intermediate BLS NRP Must-Have: Labor and post-partum care experience is required. Description: This position requires experience in labor and delivery nursing. Working with ratios of 1:3 is expected. Previous charge experience is preferred. The charting system used is Epic. Floating between similar units will be necessary. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays. All requests for time off or specific scheduling must be submitted upfront. Inflexibility may lead to termination of contract. References covering the last three years are required. Candidates should have experience with various procedures specific to labor and delivery. A comprehensive skill set in obstetric nursing is necessary. Candidates will be responsible for the administration of care for neonates and their mothers. Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is key. Candidates must be capable of managing high-stakes situations during labor and delivery. A focus on patient education and support during the pre and post-partum period is expected.
