Job Overview Chapel Hill Tire is seeking a hardworking, motivated individual to join our General Service Automotive Technician team. This entry‑level role offers paid training and opportunities for growth in a customer‑focused environment. Responsibilities Test drive every vehicle before service or repair to verify customer complaint and recommend drivability and other concerns. Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose and record findings for necessary repairs. Recommend repairs that satisfy customer concerns and meet a 3‑year/36,000‑mile warranty expectation. Perform basic maintenance such as tune‑ups, flushes, oil changes, tire services, and state inspections as required. Conduct repairs according to established company procedures. Replace necessary parts with high‑quality components to support the 3‑year/36,000‑mile warranty. Confirm repairs and services with a thorough test drive on a predetermined route established by the store manager. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Mechanical aptitude, positive attitude, commitment to safe work practices, and strong work ethic. Previous auto maintenance experience and ASE certification or related credentials are a plus. Valid driver’s license; NC safety inspection license and enhanced emissions license preferred. Entry‑level computer skills and basic knowledge of applicable software applications. Ability to manage priorities, adapt to diverse customer needs, and work with minimal supervision. Benefits No nights, weekends, or holidays; Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.
