Maintenance Supervisor

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Classification: Exempt Department: Maintenance Reports to: Maintenance Manager Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the team members on shift. This includes safety, quality of work, and meeting department goals. Using knowledge and required skills from the Maintenance Tech job, the supervisor teaches, guides, and supports the development of each team member. The position reports to the supervisor for guidance and direction, ultimately contributing to the department’s growth. Key Responsibilities Working with team members to continue their growth and development. Departmental tracking of safety, quality, and production with reports, documentation, and data sheets handwritten and/or digital. Monitor, train, and audit area to ensure all Work Instructions, SOP, and Key Points are being followed. Ensure all follow department safety rules & regulations including facility PPE requirements. Perform other duties as required. Skills & Competencies Strong verbal and written communication. Excellent problem solving and time management. Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to read and comprehend basic English. Ability to follow instructions. Familiar with production equipment. Good working knowledge of metric and standard tools. A good basic understanding of computers, email, and other software to teach, train, and track the process in EAM system. Education & Experience Leadership abilities and experience. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical school, or 2-year college; or six months to one year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with Machine Repair required. Experience with heavy equipment, industrial, maintenance or automotive repair preferred. Willingness to learn and work to be the best of his/her abilities as well to help the Kobe Maintenance Team to grow from your experience. Experience leading a group of people in a manufacturing and/or shop environment a plus. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Requires occasional physical activity throughout shift (except breaks and lunch) such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
