Financial Analyst II

We are seeking a financial analyst ii to support a portfolio of technology-related projects within a highly collaborative environment. This role serves as a key liaison between project teams and multiple accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective project support in a regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-level financial analysis across a portfolio of projects
• Support accrual-based accounting and month-end close activities
• Pull and analyze actuals, and prepare "as-built" financials
• Partner with project managers to monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
• Act as liaison between project teams and accounting groups (capital asset accounting, corporate accounting, and finance)
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements
• Support hardware/software project teams with financial tracking and reporting
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment

Day-to-Day Activities

• Collaborate with portfolio coordinators, project managers, and accounting teams
• Track project financials and provide regular updates
• Assist with reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Contribute to month-end deliverables and financial accuracy

Qualifications

Required

• 35 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting
• Strong understanding of financial principles and month-end processes
• Advanced excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
• Experience with sap and sharepoint
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred

• Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., banking, utilities, government)
• Familiarity with servicenow or similar tools
• Exposure to financial systems such as powerplan or other custom tools
• Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in finance, accounting, or related field
