About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Vice President for Evidence, a pivotal role that will lead the strategic growth and transformation of the organization's monitoring, learning, and evaluation teams, cost-effectiveness arm, and epidemiology capability. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the company's data-driven approach, ensuring that evidence and cost-effectiveness remain central to its operations. This leadership position demands a professional with a PhD or equivalent quantitative expertise, a strong background in cost-effectiveness or health economics, and a proven track record of technical leadership and management in low- and middle-income country contexts. The EVP will be responsible for overseeing the generation and use of evidence throughout the program lifecycle, setting a cross-program evidence strategy, and championing a culture of evidence-based decision-making. They must have the courage to act on evidence, the ability to lead and manage change, and a commitment to institutionalizing monitoring and learning practices. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will have a background that combines academic research expertise with genuine operational experience, allowing them to lead with a deep understanding of the field. They should be a strong leader of teams and change, capable of building trust and technical capacity, and be adept at representing the organization externally on evidence-related matters. This is not a remote or distant role; the EVP will be expected to be present in the field, close to the implementation of programs. The role is not focused on audit or compliance, nor is it a publication engine; the primary goal is to build and reinforce the systems that ensure evidence is integral to the evolution of the company's programs. The EVP will also be responsible for independent quality assurance, data quality, and for providing evidence-based recommendations that inform program decisions.
