Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas Special Education teaching credential required
- Experience or coursework in specialized education settings highly valued
- Strong understanding of behavior management and life skills curriculum
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and related service providers
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to elementary students in a Life Skills class and middle school students in a Behavior classroom
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed to optimize learning
- Communicate proactively with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment for all students
- Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with educational standards and requirements
