The Public Affairs office (PAO) is a small, dynamic group that consists of Communications, Administration and Creative Services staff that provides a diverse and interesting range of projects, duties, and challenges. Under the direction of the Administrative Officer II (AO II) within the Administration Branch, w e are seeking someone who can manage multiple priorities in a quickly changing environment and value's meaningful, rewarding work to join the PAO Administrative team. The position provides support to the Public Affairs Office and serves as the contracts' specialist and liaison. The incumbent will provide guide staff on contract development opportunities while advising Managers, Supervisors, and Contract Managers on contract development, bid requirements, cost recovery and contract compliance and deadlines. This role requires a high level of customer service while effectively supporting internal and external partners through clear communication, responsiveness and professionalism.

If you are a highly organized individual that demonstrates initiative, sound decision-making and exercises good judgement, this may be the job for you. The ideal incumbent should be able to reason logically and creatively, develop alternatives; analyze data and present ideas and information effectively. This role requires strong administrative experience and a proven background in contract development, invoice processing and expense tracking. Excellent customer service skills are essential with the ability to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships. The incumbent should have a solid understanding of Departmental and State policies and the ability to apply them effectively. Proficiency utilizing software applications and programs such as Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive) along with SAP, DWR's Enterprise Business System is highly desirable.
