Start Date: August 2026 (targeting August board date for privileges)

Schedule: Two 12-hour shifts per day: 6:30am–6:30pm and 6:30pm–6:30am. Candidates must be willing to work a mix of both day and night shifts.

Highlights:

• 10-bed Emergency Department at a 44-bed acute care facility
• Level IV Trauma Center with annual ED volume of 11,000 visits (average 31 visits/day)
• Low admission rate (6.9%) and transfer rate (6.1%) with strong specialty back-up including Hospitalist, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, and Podiatry
• Manageable patient flow averaging 1.2 patients per hour
• Pediatric patient population approximately 22%
• EMR: Meditech; 6-month contract with potential for locums-to-perm or permanent placement
• Travel support provided including flight, hotel, and rental car

Requirements:

• Board Certification: ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine) required
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility for IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact)
• Current certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS
• Willingness to work both day and night shift rotations
• Ability to complete credentialing documentation within one week of offer
