The employee will function within a team environment, performing the full scope of the assignment fabricating/producing parts.Job DescriptionEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesComply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company.Perform job in compliance with Greene, Tweed & Co. Quality Policy (ie.AS 9100, AS 9001, NadCap).Perform all pre-molding operations (material prep) and run all pre-molding equipment within the department as required.Perform all mold prepping, molding and press operations within the department as required. Acknowledge and troubleshoot press alarms and molding problems, initiate corrective action as required.Degate/waterjet, finish and visually inspect parts as necessary to ensure highest quality product on all equipment within the department.Perform all inspection requirements including the use of contact/non-contact measuring systems (CMM, OGP, etc.) and or other measuring devices.Perform all non-destructive testing as required.Perform all post molding, assembly operations and component installationFollow all SPC, process and assembly procedures.Must be able to read and follow detailed part/assembly drawings.Perform all warehouse functions within the department for finished part receipts, finished part issues, kitting and final packing as per customer requirements. Excludes receiving and shipping functionsAbility to meet or exceed all quality and production standards.Cleanliness - maintain facility housekeeping, clean machines and work area.Perform all TPM's schedules for all equipment within the department.Record all Information on GT data collection system as required.Load and unload fixtures in the department as required.Maintain annual quality certification and assure parts meet quality standardsOther ResponsibilitiesPerform miscellaneous duties in the department as assigned.Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED or equivalent experienceMust be able to communicate both verbally and in writing with other team members, internal/external auditors, support functions and customers when required.Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret production drawings, work instructions, Company documents and other specified requirements essential for performing standard job functionsWithin the last 5 years, must have worked pay Grade 9 or higher for the last 12 months or at minimum 12 months of thermoplastic molding experienceKnowledge and application of varying mechanical and inspection toolsAbility to pass a skills assessment covering computer skills, drawing/print interpretation, standard tool usage, basic molding concepts to help evaluate readiness and identify potential training needs.Physical RequirementsMust be able to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and safety shoesMust be able to use air/impact type tools & associated hex bits/adaptersMust be able to safely and properly use standard hand tools listed belowMust be able to lift up to 65 poundsMust be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to stand for extended periodsMust be able to occasionally work in positions requiring twisting, stooping, and graspingHand Tool RequirementsMold and part cleaning tools (ceramic knife, metallic blades, reamer, diamond files, wire brushes, scotch brite wheel)Ratchet & socketsVarious size malletsPunchesPry barsPutty knivesScrewdriversHex wrenchesSlap hammerQuick release hoist ringsCordless drillHelicoil tools (tang punch, extraction tool, etc)PliersAdjustable and standard wrenchesThreaded lifting ringsMicrometerCaliperHeight gaugeRequired Minimum QualificationsThis position requires U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
