Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to become part of our team of dedicated professionals! As a member of our Magnet-designated Nursing team, you will provide support to the inpatient nursing staff while helping ensure the comfort and safety of our patients and their family members.

M17: Head/Neck Hepatobiliary

42-bed inpatient unit specializing in the surgical care of patients with head and neck cancers, complex reconstructions, and thoracic procedures. The unitalsohastelemetrymonitoringcapacity, supporting higher level specializedcarewithrapid interventions. Staff care for a diverse patient population with complex wounds, airways, and post-operative needs.

Role Overview:

• Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse and assist patients in a timely and efficient manner

• Handle patient care situations with a high level of integrity, compassion, and professionalism

• Responsible for taking vital signs, performing EKGs, and collecting specimens

• Collaborate with the clinical team and provide assistance with procedures as needed

• Use basic computer and data entry skills to support clinical documentation

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare-related experience in one or more of the following roles:

  • Nursing Assistant (NA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Medical Technician, Phlebotomist, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

OR

• If less than 2 years of experience:

  • A Nursing Assistant or other healthcare-related certification obtained within the past 12 months, AND

  • At least 1 year of healthcare-related experience in one of the roles listed above

• BLS certification required by time of hire

• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Schedule: Days 7am-7:30pm; Monday through Friday, weekend and holiday rotation

Pay Range: $24.05 - $36.21 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
