Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About Scribe

Scribe is where exceptional people come to do the best work of their careers. More than 94% of the Fortune 500 use Scribe to own their specialized intelligence: the unique way their teams work, decide, and get things done. Our Specialized Intelligence platform automatically captures how work happens and turns it into a living asset that helps people and AI agents do their best work.

We're growing fast. Since our founding in 2019, we've grown to 90,000+ customers and 7 million users across 600,000 businesses. Based in San Francisco, we've been named a LinkedIn Top Startup, are valued at over $1 billion, and are backed by leading investors. Join us in our mission to transform how people do work.

About the role

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer , you'll own a product area end to end, from design through the results after launch. You'll be matched to one of four teams during the interview process, based on business needs and your background:

• Agents – AI assistants and in-app guidance that help people finish tasks inside the software they use, including a new desktop AI work hub
• Docs – Our core product for automated document generation and viewing, relied on by millions of users
• Growth – Signup, onboarding, checkout, billing, seats and SSO, helping people find Scribe, see its value fast, and grow their plan
• Optimize – The AI-driven intelligence layer that helps enterprises understand, measure and improve how work gets done, turning raw activity into workflow data leaders can trust

What you’ll do

• Own projects from design to launch, on established products and new ones
• Work with PMs, designers and other engineers to decide what to build and how
• Contribute to technical discussions, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architecture
• Uphold strong engineering practices: code review, test coverage and observability.
• Ship features end to end, from database and API to UI
• Build backend services across Python and Go, and the frontend that uses them

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years building production software at scale
• Product-minded. You care about the user problem as much as the code
• Comfortable with unclear problems and fast change
• Strong Python experience, or deep experience in another backend language and willingness to work across Python and Go
• Strong JavaScript experience with a modern frontend framework
• Nice to have : Django experience, AI/LLM product experience, startup experience.

Why you’ll love working here

• Hard, open problems. Nobody hands you a finished spec. You'll decide what to build with your PM and designer, then own how it performs.
• Incredible ownership. We have the reach of a large company and the team size of a startup, so each engineer owns a large part of the product. Customers like T-Mobile, LinkedIn, HubSpot, New York Life and Northern Trust already run on what you'll help build.
• The right moment. We raised a $75M Series C in November 2025 at a $1.3B valuation, after revenue more than doubled the year before, and users have already documented more than 10 million workflows across 40,000 software applications. Enterprises like New York Life and Havas Media use Scribe Optimize today, but many of its core systems are still being designed, so if you join now, you help decide how they work.
• Smart is the floor, kind is the bar. We love to see each other win, and One Team, One Dream is one of the most shouted-out values in #values.
