Occupational Therapist School Setting in Irmo, SC

Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Demonstrated experience in school-based, home health, and general healthcare OT practice.
• Familiarity with supporting diverse student populations, including those with various physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and external providers.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and contribute actively to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs and develop individualized occupational therapy plans tailored to unique strengths and challenges.
• Deliver direct therapy services within classroom, clinical, and-when applicable-home environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support and review IEPs and intervention strategies.
• Provide consultations and training for teachers, staff, and families to reinforce therapeutic goals throughout the school day and at home.
• Track progress, document intervention outcomes, and modify plans as needed to ensure ongoing student success.
