Kennie's Market, Inc. - Night Crew Spring Grove, PA 17362 • $15.00 per hour • Part time Job Description The Night Crew is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Grocery Manager and members of Store Management for the successful operation of the Grocery department. The Night Crew ensures that all Kennie's customers receive the best customer service available. Shift: 9:00 pm - 5:30 am; typically available on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. Responsibilities Greet, respond to questions, and explain store policies to guests in a courteous manner. Prepare the back room for receipt of merchandise, unload trucks, and sort cases by aisle or pallet. Clean store floors, check-lanes, carts, restrooms, parking lot, and shelves, using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely. Load stocking carts and pallets; transport cases to the sales floor, match case strips to shelf tags or stock, place merchandise in the designated area, and face the front row of each display. Ensure safety of self, guests, and teammates by following store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of potential hazards. Remove broken containers, packing materials, boxes, and trash from the sales floor or guests’ pathway immediately. Operate baler, case cutter, pallet jack, and forklift (must be 18+). Count and record individual items of merchandise for inventory. Manually price‑mark/label merchandise without an UPC code. Move damaged, unsalable or returnable products from shelves to the backroom, sorting into bins for the damage reclamation center. Use proper case opening and product stacking techniques to prevent damage to merchandise. Remove trash from aisles, operate baler, load salvage onto trucks. Change signs, light bulbs, tags, and price markers on the shelf display. Assist cashiers by bagging and carrying merchandise when needed. Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, substitute for absent workers, and provide additional support during peak periods. Qualifications & Requirements No prior experience required; training will be provided. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and speak clearly to customers and coworkers. Basic math skills are not required. Common sense and ability to follow written or oral instructions. Must be at least 16 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
