About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Pre/post procedure and procedure room experience; familiarity with Epic Description: Minimum experience required is 2 years. First-time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Procedures and cases include EGD, colonoscopy, esophageal dilation, esophageal and colonic stents, liver biopsy, portal pressure measurement, ERCP, spyglass, EUS, POEM procedures, bronchoscopy, navigational procedures, and EBUS. The nurse will need experience in pre-and post-procedure care as well as in the procedure room. The unit consists of 5 procedure rooms and 16 beds, handling an average volume of 25-30 cases per day. Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice. Call requirements include 1 weeknight per week and 2 weekends per contract. If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant in time, the start may be pushed back. Full compliance is necessary to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. Candidates must complete core items and labs as required.
