Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and compassionate nursing care throughout the continuum of their hospital stay
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient status, and intervenes as necessary based on clinical findings
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel based on patient care needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board-approved program
• Strong ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Experience responding effectively to the cultural and language needs of diverse patient populations
