Field Engineer I - Atlanta, GA

The Role Field Engineer I based in Atlanta, GA. Field‑based position offering company car, gas card, cell phone and laptop. The role serves customers across Georgia and involves installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and modification of electromechanical equipment. Responsibilities Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment, preferably in the field. Troubleshoot technical problems and system issues. Determine technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications and recommend actions to company or customer representatives. Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements. Assess customer needs and recommend solutions in line with product specifications. Provide technical training and product briefings to customers, vendors, and company representatives. Act as local on‑site representative to customer organizations. Manage territory responsibilities, including preventive maintenance, upgrades, software and hardware. Provide service support in hospital/clinic laboratory environments; handle parts management, online training, and administrative expense reporting. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 4 years of military or field service experience. Minimum 4 years experience installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment, preferably in the field. Team player, self‑motivated, and interacts appropriately with peers, sales counterparts, and customers. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Technical knowledge in electro‑mechanical, chemistry, computer, or related disciplines. Ability to manage workload within time constraints and lift up to 75 lbs. Valid driver’s license and willingness to own and maintain a suitable automobile for travel. Preferred Experience within the healthcare or medical device industry. Travel & Physical Demands Ability to travel overnight 50–75% to Rochester, NY during initial training and up to 75% around territory thereafter, including occasional overnight stays. Must be physically able to travel up to 75% of the time and lift up to 75 lbs. Requires regular use of hands, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional kneeling or squatting. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $65,000 to $85,000 with bonus eligibility.
