Job Summary

Join a dedicated nursing team at a Critical Access Hospital in Meeker, Colorado. This role focuses on providing comprehensive medical-surgical care to a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics.

The primary emphasis is on post-operative care for spine and orthopedic patients. You will be responsible for managing a patient load with a typical ratio of 1:5, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and pediatric patients on a medical-surgical unit.
• Specialize in the care and management of post-operative spine and orthopedic patients.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient conditions according to established protocols.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing with an emphasis on post-operative spine and orthopedic patient care.
• Current COVID-19 vaccination status, as required by Colorado state mandate.

• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
