Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured, repaired, and procured products meet or exceed design and process requirements.What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for providing quality engineering expertise to support the program’s quality objectives, developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, and procedures, and driving continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processesUpdating planning and work instructionsAnalyzing quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non‑conformancesLeading program parts review and corrective‑action meetingsEnsures corrective/ preventive measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirementsPerforming assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliancePerforms technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and proceduresCollaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in placeEngages in product failure investigations, and material review board decisionsEvaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correctionWhy Join UsThe ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail‑oriented engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about delivering flawless products to customers. Basic QualificationsMust be a U.S. CitizenBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or other STEM disciplineExperience supporting nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective action processesAbility to interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.Familiarity with inspection methods, measurement tools, and basic statistical techniques.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain) to resolve quality issues.Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Desired SkillsExperience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments.Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management systems and aerospace quality requirements.Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.Familiarity with First Article Inspection per AS9102 requirements.Experience with quality data analysis, metrics, and trend reporting.Knowledge of configuration management and change control processes.Experience using manufacturing execution systems or quality management systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
